Palm Springs

Palm Springs was such a nice little getaway.
It is a good place to just relax and soak up the sun. On our drive there we looked up a cute little breakfast spot where of course I had to get my coffee on. After breakfast we drove straight to Palm Desert which is about 20-30 minutes away from where we were staying. We searched this zoo called The Living Desert where you can feed giraffes, ride on camels, and see other animals like zebras, meerkats, and kit fox. I didn't get to ride a camel because I wore a skirt, smh, BUT I DID feed a giraffe! He was so CUTE!

After the zoo we headed to check in to our hotel. Parker Palm Springs is such a beautiful hotel, as soon as we got there we explored the lobby and the restaurant of course. It was so relaxing to just sit and enjoy a drink in their chic lobby sitting area. After a couple of drinks we went to explore the city a bit but there wasn't much to do except rent some bicycles and ride around for a bit.

The next morning we had breakfast at the Avalon Hotel Palm Springs. Chi Chi restaurant was in an open space which reminded me of Miami, I had to order a coconut rum drink which came in a coconut, YUM! Avalon is definitely on the short list of hotels to stay in Palm Springs, and it's in the center of Palm Springs.

As we were getting ready to leave I passed by this street and did a double take because I saw bright pink, blue and yellow colors. I decided to see what the bright colors I saw were and came across this!^^^
It was so cool just different art sculptures made with recycled items. At first we looked at it from the outside of the property and realized there were people inside, as we looked for an entrance we came across the front of this house which recommended an entrance fee of $5 for maintenance. It was something so different, if you're visiting Palm Springs I definetly recomend checking out Robolights by Kenny Irwin Jr. Learn more about Robolights here.
